By road
From the South – Leave the M6 at Junction 15. Follow signs for Stoke on Trent,A500 and proceed on the A500 until you see the exit signposted Leek (A53) and City Centre.Take this exit and once on the slip road move into the right hand lane as you approach the traffic lights. Take the fourth exit off the roundabout signposted Leek (A53) and then move into the right hand lane on the dual carriageway (A53). Continue over the flyover and go straight on at the roundabout. Move into the right hand lane of three lanes approaching the second set of traffic lights by a Mercedes garage. Turn right at the traffic lights and pass a school on your left. At the roundabout take the first exit and stay in the left hand lane on the dual carriageway. Take the first left exit off the dual carriageway and then move into the right hand lane as you approach a roundabout. Take the third exit at the roundabout. Stay in the left hand lane and the hearing centre is the first left exit after joining this road.
From the North – Leave the M6 at Junction 16 and follow signs for Stoke–on–Trent, A500. Continue on the A500 and take the exit signposted Leek (A53) and City Centre. Take the first exit at the roundabout and then move into the right hand lane on the dual carriageway (A53). Then follow directions from A53 (see above – directions from the south).
From the East, A50 Derby/Nottingham/Leicester – Pass the Britannia Stadium and move into the right hand lane as you approach a roundabout. At the roundabout take the exit signposted Leek, Newcastle, A500. Join the A500 and then follow directions detailed above – from the south. Satellite Navigation – Input ST1 2QB and it will bring you out immediately opposite the hearing centre.
Free parking is available for visitors at the rear of the hearing centre.
By Rail/Underground
The nearest railway station is Stoke on Trent. For train enquiries please contact National Rail enquiries on 08457 484950 or log onto www.nationalrail.co.uk. You will need to catch a bus from the railway station to the hearing centre.
By Bus
RML service no. 41 is the only bus service from the railway station which passes the hearing centre. It departs at 35 minutes past every hour from the railway station and the journey takes approximately 15 minutes.
From Stoke on Trent railway station, services 23, 23A and 25 go to Hanley Bus Station. Buses leave every 10 minutes and the journey takes approximately 10 minutes. For further information please call First Bus on 0870 8500 868.
The bus station is a 15 minute walk to the hearing centre. Exit the bus station by stand 22 and turn left into Charles Street. Walk to the end of the street and cross into the pedestrianised area. Pass McDonalds and Marks and Spencer’s on the right and the Potteries Shopping Centre on your left. Go straight on at the two roundabouts you come to. The hearing centre is 150 metres past the second roundabout on your left hand side.
Facilities and Accessibility
The venue is accessible to people with restricted mobility as there are no unavoidable steps inhibiting movement. There are heavy fire doors. The venue is safe for people with restricted vision
Easy access for wheelchairs and carriages. Parking for the disabled is available at this venue. The bays are clearly marked and entrance to the building is level.
Free parking at the rear of Bennett House
For security reasons, on arrival at Bennett House you will be required to undergo a security check. This will include signing in and obtaining a visitor badge and you will also be required to walk through a metal detector or have a wand type metal detector passed over you. Any baggage that you are carrying will also be searched. Once you have passed through security please make your way to the Social Security and Child Support waiting area which is to your far right hand side.
